Remarks & Notes
For my 7000th contribution on Railpictures, I choosed this romantic picture: In the blue hour the extra train of the Schynige Platte Bahn (SPB) from Wilderswil reached the top of the mountain, Schynige Platte station on 1967 meter a.s.l. The cogwheel locomotive with Abt system, He 2/2 # 14, built by SLM and BBC in 1914, shoved the cars # 6 (of 1894) and # 8 (of 1929) over the 80 centimeter gauge track with a maximum grade of 25.0 % from Wilderswil (584 meter a.s.l.) to the top, the overhead wire has 1500 V DC. This train to enjoy the full moon (and on this evening the "blood moon" of the eclipse of the moon) was organised by the association "Dampflok Nummer 5", but because of high fire risk, the train was ran with electric oldtimer He 2/2 instead of steamlocomotive H 2/3 # 5. During this time of the day, there are usually no trains on the Schynige Platte. The lighting is not from the moon, but was made by my "assistant" Peter Minder, thank you!

Nocturnal Nuances & Lights In The Night! (Between Sunset - Sunrise / Sundown - Sunup!)

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
