Remarks & Notes
Close-up view of Santa Fe 2862 after the major derailment involving three trains. The SF 2862 east plowed into another eastbound waiting at Mountainair, NM for an approaching westbound hotshot. The resulting derailment fowled the westbound main line, and trailers on the westbound hotshot started getting ripped apart and losing their contents.
