| Train number 565 heads north through the San Elijo Lagoon behind a somewhat unusual leader, Amtrak Dash-8 number 503. The old wooden trestle here is not long for this world. With the first track now complete over the bridge, train traffic should switch over in the very near future, thus closing this chapter in history for another wooden trestle. |
