(Little) Mountain Moves. In a rare treat for us around Columbia, SC, the Reading heritage unit leads P65/Z368 up the CN&L Line, taking a load of empty chip cars through Little Mountain toward Newberry, SC. Although the CN&L is owned by CSX, NS has trackage rights between Columbia and Newberry. Once in Newberry, P65 will switch back on to the remaining active segment of the Southern/NS V-Line, abandoned many years ago except for a small segment that serves the Georgia Pacific plant in Silverstreet, SC.
