| The CN cut in new signals here at Jaxton last week for the upcoming PTC cutover. Back in 2000 a fairly new IC SD70 heads up a loaded grain train here at Susie. The station name Susie was changed to Jaxton in 2017 in honor of Jaxton Engstrom. Jaxton is a 9 year old boy that is fighting an inherited and fatal disease of the nervous system. The CN honored the boy with a train ride and changing Susie to be named after him. Class act by CN.
Back in 2000 the old signal bridges around Waterloo were still standing tall. Pretty crazy that in 18 years two sets of signals have been placed here. Wonder how long this these signal bridges have stood the test of time before 2000???? |
