| It is a hot summer day as the eastbound Southwest Chief comes upon the first set of intermediate semaphores north of the village of Wagon Mound. The village name comes from the hill in the background, which wagon travelers from the Santa Fe trail days used as a navigation point to determine how much longer it would take to get to Santa Fe, NM. |
