| The rock cut near MP 8 was once a tight cut. I don't remember when, but they had a train hit a big rock here, and it was discovered that the cut was unstable. The IMRL or IC&E blasted away some of cut. After they got done the cut was completely changed and opened up. Here an eastbound Mason City to Marquette train drops down grade towards Marquette as they pass thru the Spook Cave area. 2003 the IC&E 40's were just coming to the property in April to replace the leased FURX power. |
