Remarks & Notes
In its first weeks of revenue service for Penn Central, a United Aircraft TurboTrain that still wears its original DOT colors speeds through the station at Stratford, CT, bound for Grand Central Terminal on former New Haven trackage. These fast little trains carried high hopes in 1969 but they proved to be mechanically unreliable and were retired seven years later.
