Remarks & Notes
Polson Logging Company's 2-8-2 No. 2 brings an empty log train north over an inlet at Nehalem Bay in Wheeler, OR. The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad's former Southern Pacific branch traverses 46 miles of coastal communities and heavily wooded areas. The scenery is spectacular and a "3/4 wedge" shot would do it justice, yet I really wanted to photograph the train in a setting that captured the essence of the logging industry that was, and remains to this day, prevalent to the area. Part of a Lerro Productions charter. -
