Remarks & Notes
Class 24 3622 heads the 06.55 George - Knysna goods. This popular railway was designated as a Heritage Museum Line in 1991, but catastrophic flooding in 2006 and 2007 put paid to this, hopefully not permanently.

Good Light, Good Scenery, and a Train

Album created by member Lee Kirchhoff
Album Views: 32,251
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.

Photos taken in the scenic Garden Route between George and Voorbaai, George and Knysna, George to Oudtshoorn and Oudtshoorn to Port Elizabeth.

Rare South African photographs (older and newer) on RailPictures.Net, where the potential to recreate them either no longer exists for any number of reasons, or the chances of another opportunity are very slim or non existent!
