Remarks & Notes
The Keenan Switch job passes some long dormant signals along the CN Iron Range Sub as the head back to their namesake yard. These signals are what remains of tracks laid by the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range railroad that once served the Thunderbird South coarse crusher loadout which came online in 1976 to help feed the Fairlane pellet plant. The Thunderbird South pit ceased operation in October of 1992 while the Thunderbird North pit continues to this day.
