Almost looking like something out of the past, CCET 5895 East passes the out of service N&W CPL's that still stand at the East Switch of Batavia Siding on a beautiful but cold December morning. Unlike most of the other signals on the Peavine, the signals here managed to avoid having the heads covered with canvas bags when the CTC system was taken out of service in the early 2000's, making it a good photo prop. Although the N&W never owned any B36-7's, they did have standard cab C30-7's that would've looked very similar from the front, so the same photo could have almost as easily been taken here 40 years ago.
