Don't try and beat a train! As the Finger Lakes Railway GS-2 approached Solvay, NY a motorist cut in front of the train at the grade crossing for a factory entrance. Luckily, the car escaped being hit by fractions of an inch as the engineer put the train into emergency. They were running light power, but had they been pulling cars, they likely wouldn't have been able to slow enough to avoid impact. Just another reminder that you should never try to beat a train over a crossing.
