| Snow covers the upper elevations of the mountains surrounding Cajon Pass and the So. Cal Ski resorts are in full swing. Down in the pass a BNSF double Stack slides westbound downhill on main 2. While on main 1 a UP double Stack climbs the grade eastbound towards Summit. The upper track is the Union Pacific Palmdale Cut off with a mixed Manifest grinding uphill. Lower left is main 3. Such diversity is what makes Cajon Pass such a dramatic piece of railroading. |
