| "Not Like the Others"
MUNI 59, a San Francisco Cable Car, sits inside of New Orleans RTA's Carrollton Transit Station Trolley Barn along with some other vintage trolleys. Built by the J. Hammond Car Company in 1906, MUNI 59 served San Francisco for decades before being sent to New Orleans as a trade for one of their Perley Thomas Streetcars. Notice how the car sits sideways because of the difference in track gauges between the two systems. |
