A lone SD40-2 carries a short freight train across the old trestle bridge at French's Hollow on the outskirts of Schnectady, NY. Despite it being the waning days of Winter, Spring seems very far away in the middle of New York. The falls have iced over under the Trestle, and the last light of the day cast soft shadows on the icy river. I froze pretty good as I waited for anything to cross. This was the second of two trains I caught that evening.
