Remarks & Notes 
A pair of former D&H GP39-2s idles at Fort Edward Yard in minimally-patched Reading paint. 7412 was originally RDG 3412 and the patched "3" is quite visible here. The second unit, D&H 7409, had actually been repainted into the D&H "solid blue with yellow nose" scheme in the mid-80s. Within five or so years most of the blue paint had worn off to the point that the unit presented a very Reading-like appearance, at least from this angle.
