| As the sun begins to slip behind the horizon the last rays of light paint the Mojave Desert in a wonderful glow highlighted by the presence of BNSF's westbound 'Cadiz Turn'. The turn is on the homeward leg of its round trip journey from Barstow to Cadiz, CA where BNSF interchanges with the Arizona and California Railroad. Three of the turn's four motors still proudly wear Santa Fe colors which had for decades gone hand in hand with images of railroading in the American Southwest. |
