Remarks & Notes
The Union Pacific passenger car deadhead continues its northward journey from Iowa... okay, more like really west, and then a sharp turn north, toward Oakland. Perhaps the reason being that the hills compliment the bright yellow train, thanks to all the rain-loving field mustard. Nonetheless, the extravagant show of color has taken just about every beachgoer's attention at Gaviota, as waves of smiles and hands reflect off the beach back toward the crew.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
