Remarks & Notes
A trio of veteran Canadian Pacific SD40-2's bring a 60 car Herzog ballast train through downtown Davenport. This view shows how the CP has elevated the mainline at least 2 feet over the Gaines Street crossing to combat flood waters. A new pedestrian path was created to access Modern Woodman Park and a new road approach will be constructed after the Mississippi River stops flooding.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
