| The switcher assigned to Bellows Falls has picked cars from the New England Central in North Walpole and pulls south on the NECR trackage through the tunnel under the town center. Trains have been passing through this tunnel since 1851. The floor of the tunnel has been lowered three times to provide clearance for taller locomotives and cars - 1897, 1977 and 2007.
