DONE!: With this word, the Transcontinental Railroad was declared completed on May 10th, 1869. One day short of 150 years later, the Union Pacific Railroad held a ceremony in Ogden, Utah to commemorate the anniversary of the occasion. Large crowds from all over the world gathered to see the UP 844 and 4014 posed nose to nose, mimicking that famous scene with the much smaller Central Pacific Jupiter and Union Pacific 119.
