Shunting vehicle with battery drive Ta # 978 of the association Mikado 1244 in Brugg (AG). With this "tractor" also the heavy vehicles like the 141 R 1244 with a service weight of 192 tons can be moved. The Ta # 978 was delivered in 1913 by the AEG in Berlin as Fa 2/2 # 51 for the construction of the Simplon Tunnel II. From 1917 the vehicle served first at various railway stations and then, from 1920, for decades in the SBB's main workshop in Bellinzona. In 1977 it got a revision and the color changed from green to red. In 2016, the Ta 978 came to the association Mikado 1244 and an experienced member was able to revitalize the old accumulators.
