| Commuter rolling stock 5M2A of the Passenger Rail Agency of SA (Prasa), for the MetroRail Western Cape "Boland Blitz" (Boland is the name of a mountain range and of the region) train between Worcester and Cape Town, one of the longest metro train route of South Africa: 176 kilometer in about 2 and 1/2 hours with 26 stops, one time daily. This rolling stock for 3000 V DC (motor and trailer cars) was built by Union Carriage & Wagon between 1962 and 1985 in a series of over 4400 vehicles. |
