P42s get worked up at Race Street Yard at night. A couple of these units are assigned to Philadelphia to handle the Pennsylvanian, which has a power swap in Philadelphia (from an electric to diesel) as the catenary doesn't go past Harrisburg and diesels don't operate into NYP.
