Remarks & Notes
During its short-lived revival under the ownership of shortline entrepreneur Samuel Pinsly, Vermont's St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County adopted this logo and slogan that reflected both its primary business -- bridge traffic between the CP/MEC and the CV -- and the covered bridge that represented the last such active structure on a non-tourist US railroad. Caboose 80 trailed the daily freight at Greenboro Bend, VT, on a fine fall day.
