It is the dead of night, and all is quiet on the Union Pacific Harvard Sub. Not a sound was to be heard, save for the infrequent passing car or truck and of course our camera shutters. With it being such a clear night, we took to some astrophotography, and given the abundance of searchlights on the Metra-less Harvard Sub west of its namesake city, we were in a prime spot for foreground subjects. Here is one such example in Sharon, Wisconsin, standing tall displaying a clear aspect as celestial objects from light years away dance in the distance.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
