With a fresh crew and a good warrant, BNSF 6305 begins the long journey across Colorado as it hauls 12,634 feet of empty coal cars. BNSF has increased their numbers of double empty coal trains over the last few months along the South Loop Route. Running 2x4x2, these trains are two coal trains that are combined in Texas and ran together till they get to the mines in the Powder River Basin. While they run smooth, they provide a challenge in regards towards dispatching, and stopping in locations that won't block road crossings for hours on end; which has happened.
