ESU2A (ЭСУ2А) locomotive is a family of russian (soviet) narrow-gauge diesel locomotives designed to supply electric power to traveling machines and an emergency power source. Locomotives can also be used to move all types of train and shunting work on narrow gauge railways. The action takes place on the Pelgorskaya narrow-gauge railway (owenes by Pelgorsk peat company) near Tosno town in Leningrad provinse. Peat from the marshes is regularly shipped by rail, there are constant sales channels. Now Pelgorsk peat company supplies fuel peat to neighboring boiler houses, and some products are even exported to Western Europe as fertilizers, as well as for various industrial technologies and decorative purposes.
