Engineer Fredy is awaiting "highball" on Muttbach-Belvedere station of the DFB, to open the throttle of the 800 horsepower 4 cylinder compound cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 704, to pull train 134 Oberwald-Realp through the Furka summit tunnel to Furka DFB. This most powerfull narrow gauge cogwheel steamlocomorive of Europe, built in 1923 and running in Vietnam till about 1974, is operational again since last year, after about 50000 hours work of volunteers. The picture was taken from the open platform of the first car.
