The last day of operation for the PRR position light signals was the weekend of June 8th, 2019; as crews quickly worked their way across the NS Pittsburgh Line. On Saturday evening, a loaded stone train pulled into the South Fork runner track in South Fork PA, powered by 4 SD80macs in a 2 + 2 config. The train was tied down and the power was cutoff to be put away for the night in the South Fork Engine house. This train would be the last to light up this signal, making it a fitting end for its decades of service.
