Rolling down Cajon Pass is a Union Pacific freight powered by a trio of SD40-2s (3240, 3443 and 3512). UP 3240 was built in June 1973, and from February 1976 through June 1980 it had high-speed gearing and was numbered UP 8000. (Blue Cut, California - December 28, 1980)
