As Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 584 departs the Fullerton, California, train station it crosses from BNSF Railway's San Bernardino Subdivision (on which Amtrak NPCU 90208 is rolling) to Metrolink's Orange Subdivision (on which the front of the train is). In the process, it is also transitioning from an eastbound to a southbound train. CDTX SC-44 2120 is leading this train, heading from Los Angeles to San Diego, which consists of one Amfleet car and six Horizon cars and former F40PH 208 (converted to a Non-Powered Control Unit) on the rear.
