It was my first day of living in Flagstaff. Just hours before, my folks helped me unload the truck and move me into my freshman dorm, Reilly Hall, at NAU. After settling in and meeting some people on my floor, I grabbed the camera and headed out in search of some trains. I went to my favorite spot along the line; Darling. Having shot the sag in the morning on previous trip to Flagstaff, I really wanted to shoot glint there. Luckily, I was awarded three eastbounds within 45 minutes during glint lighting. Here, a Los Angeles, CA to Fort Madison, IA intermodal train races out of the sag down grade towards Winslow. This would start a series of four years worth of photos across Northern Arizona.
