The Southbound "Vermonter" exits the Bellows Falls Tunnel under the Village of Bellows Falls in Rockingham, Vermont. The 278-foot long tunnel was originally consturcted by the Vermont Valley Railroad in 1851 and has been modified several times to accommodate larger trains.
