With it's time a part of the City of San Bernardino Railroad Days' celebration complete, Santa Fe 3751 highballs the ex-ATSF depot with a four four train as it prepares to climb the flyover, out of picture to the right, the crosses the BNSF transcon. This trip would mark the first of four consecutive years that 3751 would return to the city it spent so many years in prior to its restoration. Unfortunately, 3751's ability to return to this event and the ability to have the event at all became cumbersome during Metrolink track realignment and station upgrades - ultimately canceling the event from taking place for a number of years. It is the hope of many, the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society included, that Railroad Days and the chance to bring 3751 back for this event will be possible in the future.
