A very unique Ford Super Wagon van specially-equipped for railroad use sits at the San Luis & Rio Grande’s yard at Alamosa, Colorado, on August 12, 2007. This “rail van” is former Canadian National No. 51, which can still be seen on the roof. At the time, SL&RG was using the vehicle, when passenger counts were light, on the route south to Antonito, connecting with the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad.
