Safety Measures: An Amtrak catenary maintenance vehicle broke down on Track 2 at Princeton Junction. As a result, the Amtrak diesels shown here were sent to tow it to the nearby maintenance facility in Adams, NJ. An Amtrak employee was placed on the platform as a safety measure. Specifically, when trains approached, this worker would sound an air horn and hold up the sign shown here as a means of alerting the crew on the right of way about the oncoming train. Trains passing through, New York-bound NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line Train 3864 on the left here, were also instructed to sound their horns when passing through the area as an additional safety measure.
