It's afternoon rush hour on an early summer day in 1979 and CNW prepares for its daily routine of heading thousands of Chicago area commuters home safely in three directions heading north, northwest and west out of Madison St. station in downtown Chicago. The train on the left is waiting its turn in the terminal while the right hand train heads west with an outbound trainload of commuters.
