Remarks & Notes
Lights, Camera, Varnish! While the two private cars on the rear of today's Coast Starlight might carry the heritage of the Boston & Main and Pennsylvania Railroad's, both the Salisbury Beach and Colonial Crafts once called Los Angeles home when they were part of the LARail.com family. The two cars, now based in Washington D.C., still return "home" to their first private car residence from time to time like this trip that brought them out west via the Southwest Chief. On this warm, summer morning in Simi Valley, the pair are passing the active Corriganville Movie Ranch - the location of popular movie and TV show filmings such as Fort Apache, Buffalo Bill in Tomahawk Territory, The Robe, The Lone Ranger, The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, Sky King, Circus Boy, and even Star Trek.
