On September 19, Vermont Rail System deadheaded this year’s foliagebtrain consist from North Walpole, NH to Chester, VT, providing an opportunity for some shots that won’t be possible again until the train deadheads back at the end of the foliage season. Here the GMRC Alco RS-1 #405 leads the train westbound along the Connecticut River at Webb Pond late in the afternoon and justbahead of a charter trip.
