"It's Too Late For That." With a touch of SP still holding strong on the nose of the UP 1053, a rather late edition of the LOF41 passes through Chatsworth as it prepares to duck into the darkness beneath the Metro buss flyover here. While I don't know the reasons behind the late afternoon appearance of this local, which generally makes it's trek to Simi Valley in the mid-morning, I did hear Amtrak 782 pass them at CP Santa Susana and say, "Thanks for the roll-by guys, have a great day." The crew of the LOF41 replied after a sigh, "Yeah...it's too late for that." They finally made it back to Gemo just after 3PM as the LOF67 was finishing the building of their train for the run to Guadalupe.
