Rather ugly looking colors (adhesives) on the railcar RBe 540 # 052 of SBB Historic, not operational anymore. The former RBe 4/4 is provided for the exhibition "Mobil! Unterwegs mit Visionären" by SBB Historic. A travelling exhibition in the cantons of Zurich and Aargau, shown in Uster, Brugg (AG) and Winterthur. The exhibition "Mobil! Travelling with visionaries" follows on from the pioneering days of the railway and lets the protagonists Alfred Escher and Gottfried Keller travel through the cantons of Zurich and Aargau in an old railway carriage.
The starting point is formed by questions of exchange and openness that can arise daily during train journeys. Communication and mobility form a basis for social action today and in the future. In a rapidly changing world, however, the exhibition provides no answers. Against the background of Escher's and Keller's epoch, it raises questions that visitors to the exhibition can answer themselves. The exhibition takes place as part of the anniversaries "200 Years of Alfred Escher and Gottfried Keller" and "IndustrieWelt Aargau; #ZeitsprungIndustrie". The project is supported by the SBB Historic Foundation.
The worst of railroad design. Please, send me your entries / suggestions for the "Album of the ugly trains of the world" (past or present, paint scheme or shape).
