A Norfolk Southern intermodal train is about to crest the summit of it's crossing of the Allegheny Mountains (at 2,167 feet [661 m] above sea level) as it passes through Gallitzin, Pennsylvania. NS AC44C6M 4104, one of the Dash 9-44CWs that the railroad is rebuilding into AC-powered locomotives, leads this eastbound toward the Gallitzin Tunnels on September 18, 2019. In 2021, this locomotive would visit southern California, as seen HERE.
