As seen from NJ Transit GP40PH-2 #4108, ALP-45 #4519 has been wrapped with an Erie-Lackawanna heritage scheme as part of NJT's 40th Anniversary celebration. The chosen scheme was used on EL's E8's and adapted to fit the Bombardier dual-mode unit. The ALP's are quite similar to their E8 predecessors in size and they both have two separate diesel prime movers, although the ALP's can also operate in electric mode. 4519 was displayed during the railroad's annual family days event coupled to the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey's NJ Department of Transportation E8 #4253.
Photos from across RP of NJ Transit’s 40th Anniversary specially painted & wrapped units.
Also included are the fully wrapped Veterans & Pride tribute units.
Not
