After a few days of heavy rain, the foliage in the Green Mountains had peaked and under brilliant sunshine for much of the day, the passengers aboard the Green Mountain Railroad Passenger Services Fall Foliage Flyer train were treated to one of the better peaks of foliage in recent years. GMRC Alco RS-1 405 is seen rolling through Smithville, VT, where one of the puddles from the previous days' rain made for a nice almost-perfect mirror reflection of the full passenger train.
