Our oldest daughter gives an excited wave to the crew of the Ohio Rail Experience "South Charleston Rocket" as the CRR 800 crosses the diamond at Lagonda on the final trip of the day. It's kind of crazy to think that about 30 years ago, her great grandfather and grandfather were taking me to see the 800 in her CSX dress as CSXT 116 pulling the old Roadrailer through Glendale, Ohio, and now she's gotten to see the same locomotive restored to its as delivered Clinchfield dress and ridden behind it on the 10am South Charleston Rocket trip. This hobby truly brings so much history together.
