Remarks & Notes
Neither gone, nor forgotten. Former Long Island Rail Road cars 2103 and 2104 were retired two decades ago, but have found a new home. The out of use tracks of the Brooklyn Army Terminal Railway still cross the Brooklyn Army Terminal, now a home for artists and light industry. Normally not open to the general public, the Open House New York of 2019 allowed visitors to enter this massive Beaux-Arts structure on Sunday, October 20, 2019. The building is surrounded by rails still in use, with the New York & New Jersey RR passing through the complex and the South Brooklyn Railway to the north.
