Only for a change of direction the electric locomotive 139 177-0 visited the eastern end of Fürth Freightstation. On the right side in the background you can see one of the eldest german locomotive sheeds, out of the 1860s years. It i is out of the time, when the first german railway, Ludwigsbahn between Nuremberg and Fürth and the royal bavarian state railway crossed here. Although the building is under Monument Protection, there was no preservation during a lot of years, while it was owned by german Railway. Now it sold to a real etate company and at least the leaking roof is protected by a covering sheet. I'm not shure if it is still planed to remodel it as a Café. The locomotive is a former Deutsche Bundesbahn locomotive, now owned an used by Locomotion. the company is traction provider for a lot of freight trains , mainly in southern germany and Austria with focus on the Brenner line
