| "PTC Test Freight at Richmond Hill"
The Long Island Rail Road/ New York & Atlantic Railway Positive Train Control Test Train heads east past the abandoned Richmond Hill Station on the Lower Montauk. The train is on it's way to the Central Branch for testing. Richmond Hill Station was opened in 1869, elevated in 1923 but closed early 1998 due to low ridership. The island platform still remains. |
